Scriptures are a powerful tool. We should be so thankful for having a Bible, but yet many of us aren't. We allow our Bibles to just sit and collect dust. We're in a period of time where people would rather have somebody tell them what the Bible says, instead of reading it themselves. We can't do this. Too many people twist the words of the Bible and add in crap. Yeah, Church and Bible Study are good, but we MUST read the word for ourselves. This is not the middle ages, we no longer have to hear a priest or minister tell us what the Bible says, we have copies of our own that we may read. Here are some helpful scriptures for daily life that I have found. Go read your Bible and I bet you'll find some too.

Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity.
1 Timothy 4:12


In everything set them an example by doing what is good. In your teaching show integrity, seriousness and soundness of speech that cannot be condemned, so that those who oppose you may be ashamed because they have nothing bad to say about us.
Titus 2:7-8


With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in God's likeness. Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers, this should not be.
James 3:9-10


Brothers, do not slander one another. Anyone who speaks against his brother or judges him speaks against the law and judges it. When you judge the law, you are not keeping it, but sitting in judgement on it. There is only one Lawgiver and Judge, the one who is able to save and destroy. But who are you to judge your neighbor?
James 4:11-12


Anyone, then, who knows good he ought to do and doesn't do it, sins.
James 4:17


As obedient children, do not conform to the evil desires you had when you lived in ignorance.
1 Peter 1:14


Dear friends, I urge you, as aliens and strangers in the world, to abstain from sinful desires, which war against your soul. Live such good lives among the pagans that, though they accuse you of doing wrong, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day he visits.
1 Peter 2:11-12

My brothers, as believers in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ, don't show favortism. Suppose a man comes into your meeting wearing a gold ring and fine clothes, and a poor man in shabby clothes also comes in. If you show special attention to the man wearing fine clothes and say, "Here's a good seat for you," but say to the poorman, "You stand there" or "Sit on the floor by my feet," have you not discriminated among yourselves and become judges with evil thoughts?
